These self contained self catering holiday lodges in Spanish Point have been beautifully restored with whitewashed walls and a cobbled courtyard.
Red Cliff Lodge Restaurant and Luxury Suites is a wonderful seaview property overlooking Spanish Point Beach, a beautifully thatched property with six luxury suites (all with integrated kitchenettes), a Sun-Lounge and Restaurant and outdoor seaview terrace. The suites are in a courtyard overlooking Spanish Point beach.
The main house has a large lounge exclusively for guests’ use, books, board games and cards are supplied. There is a large open fire and plenty of comfy sofas to lounge about in. Tea / coffee are available and there is a small wine bar. Redcliff is only a 5 minute walk from Bellbridge House Hotel and 3Km from the village of Spanish Point.
These holiday homes are situated on a cliff top over looking the dramatic Atlantic Ocean and there are some really breathtaking walks along the coast not to mention the distinctive Burren Region which is less than an hour away. Other local outdoor activities include whale and dolphin watching at Carrigaholt, cycling (with bicycle hire available during the summer months in Miltown Malbay), swimming and surfing. The area is well known for its excellent surf and there are a number of local hire shops and schools, the largest of which is the Lahinch Surf School just 15 minutes from the holiday lodges.
There is a good choice in golf courses in the area such as East Clare Golf Club and Lahinch Golf Club. There is also a local 9 hole course at Spanish Point Golf Club.
This self catering accommodation in Spanish Point is an excellent base from which to explore Clare’s many quaint fishing villages and seaside towns such as Doolin and Liscannor. Take a day trip by ferry to the Aran Islands or to view the famous Cliffs of Moher or visit Clare’s best known visitor attractions such as Bunratty Folk Park & Castle, the Aillwee Caves and Doolin Cave all of which are within easy reach of these holiday lodges.
